Important information for transplant patients

The active ingredient in Deximune^® is ciclosporin. A member of the transplant team will have explained to you that ciclosporin plays an important role in preventing your body from rejecting the transplant you have been given.

There are different brands of ciclosporin available and they all work in the same way. However it is important that you stay on the same brand, unless your transplant doctor decides to make a change.

Has your brand of ciclosporin been changed?

If you have received Deximune^® for the first time and have not been told about the change to your medicine, do not stop taking your medicine but please contact the doctor who is in charge of your treatment as soon as you can.

If you have been taking Deximune^® for some time, but have now been given a different ciclosporin with a different brand name and have not been told about the change, do not stop taking your medicine but please contact the doctor who is in charge of your treatment as soon as you can.
